EVY SCHUBERT ist Autorin, Regisseurin und Multimediakünstlerin mit Schwerpunkt auf neuer Dramatik. Bisherige Uraufführungen u. a. am Schauspielhaus Wien, Divadlo X10 Prag, Ballhaus Ost Berlin, neues theater halle, sowie Engagements am Burgtheater Wien, Landestheater Niederösterreich, Schauspielhaus Zürich, Theater an der Parkaue Berlin u. a.
Schuberts Text zu »BEAUTY« wurde in der Kritiker*innen-Umfrage von »Theater heute« 2023 als bestes Stück des Jahres nominiert. Sie war »Philosopher in Residence« am Kolleg Friedrich Nietzsche, Weimar, und Stipendiatin beim Internationalen Forum des Berliner Theatertreffen. Mit »HOLY SHIT« brachte sie ein umfangreiches Gesamtkunstwerk zur Uraufführung, welches in der Inszenierung ihres Textes »LAST PRAYER« (2024) kulminierte. Uraufführung von »120 IDIOTEN« am Divadlo X10, Prag, Einladungen zu internationalen Theaterfestivals in 2025. Kuration und Redaktion diverser multimedialer Onlineprojekte, welche Schuberts Inszenierungen textlich und visuell ergänzen, wie www.justanotherbeautysite.faith oder www.holyshit.vision. Von 2017 bis 2020 war sie auch als Dramaturgin für Herbert Fritsch tätig. Ihre Programmhefte gestaltete sie dabei als illustrierte Kunstbücher.

Sie studierte Photographie und Philosophie (BA, Universität Sorbonne Paris; Spéos Photographic Institute), Kommunikations- und Sozialwissenschaften (BA, Universität Erfurt) sowie Theaterwissenschaft (MA, Freie Universität Berlin). Regieausbildung an der Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz unter Dimiter Gotscheff und Herbert Fritsch. Fortbildung in Tanz, mit Fokus auf Ballett, Contemporary und Somatic Dance/ Sober Rave. Evy Schubert ist Mutter eines Sohnes.

Schubert’s text for BEAUTY was nominated for Best Play of the Year in the 2023 critics’ survey by Theater heute. She was “Philosopher in Residence” at the Kolleg Friedrich Nietzsche in Weimar and a fellow of the International Forum at the Berliner Theatertreffen. With HOLY SHIT, she brought an extensive Gesamtkunstwerk to its world premiere, culminating in the staging of her text LAST PRAYER (2024). World premiere of 120 IDIOTEN at Divadlo X10, Prague, invitations to international theater festivals in 2025. Curation of various multimedia online projects that complement Schubert’s productions textually and visually, such as www.justanotherbeautysite.faith or www.holyshit.vision. From 2017 to 2020, she also worked as a dramaturge for Herbert Fritsch. During this time, she designed the program booklets as illustrated art books.
