EVY SCHUBERT ist Theaterautorin, Regisseurin und Multimediakünstlerin mit Schwerpunkt auf neuer Dramatik. Bisherige Uraufführungen u. a. am Schauspielhaus Wien, Divadlo X10 Prag, Ballhaus Ost Berlin sowie Engagements am Burgtheater Wien, Schauspielhaus Zürich, Landestheater Niederösterreich, Theater an der Parkaue Berlin u.a.. Schuberts Text zu BEAUTY wurde in der Kritiker:Innen-Umfrage von Theater Heute 2023 als bestes Stück des Jahres nominiert. Sie war Philosopher in Residence am Kolleg Friedrich Nietzsche, Weimar, und Stipendiatin beim Internationalen Forum des Berliner Theatertreffen. Mit HOLY SHIT brachte sie ein umfangreiches Gesamtkunstwerk zur Uraufführung, welches in der Inszenierung ihres Textes LAST PRAYER (2024) kulminierte. Kürzlich Uraufführung von 120 IDIOTEN am Divadlo X10, Prag, Einladungen zu internationalen Theaterfestivals in 2025. Kuration und Redaktion diverser multimedialer Onlineprojekte, welche Schuberts Inszenierungen textlich und visuell ergänzen. Siehe holyshit.vision oder justanotherbeautysite.faith. Von 2017 bis 2020 war sie als Dramaturgin für Herbert Fritsch tätig. Ihre Programmhefte gestaltete sie dabei als illustrierte Kunstbücher. Gastdozenturen u.a. an der Universität der Künste Berlin und Akademie für darstellende Kunst Ludwigsburg. Sie studierte Photographie und Philosophie (BA, Universität Sorbonne Paris; Spéos Photographic Institute), Kommunikations- und Sozialwissenschaften (BA, Universität Erfurt) sowie Theaterwissenschaft (MA, Freie Universität Berlin). Regieausbildung an der Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz unter Dimiter Gotscheff und Herbert Fritsch. Evy Schubert ist Mutter eines Sohnes.
EVY SCHUBERT is an author, director, and multimedia artist. She studied photography and philosophy in Paris (Spéos Photography School; Sorbonne University), communication and social sciences (University of Erfurt), as well as theater studies (Freie Universität Berlin). She got trained as a director at Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz in Berlin under Dimiter Gotscheff and Herbert Fritsch. Schubert works at the interface of theater, film,and text. Staging and Gesamtkunstwerk. Previous engagements include the Schauspielhaus Vienna, Burgtheater Vienna, Schauspielhaus Zurich, Landestheater Niederösterreich, Ballhaus Ost Berlin, Theater an der Parkaue Berlin, Divadlo X10 Prague. From 2017 to 2020, she worked as a dramaturge for Herbert Fritsch, designing her program booklets as illustrated art books. Schubert’s production BEAUTY was nominated as the best play of the year in the 2023 Theater Heute critics‘ poll. With HOLY SHIT, she premiered a comprehensive multimedia Gesamtkunstwerk, which culminated in the theatre production of LAST PRAYER (2024). Schubert also curates and designs websites and social media projects such as www.justanotherbeautysite.faith which complement her productions with multimedia content. She holds teaching positions and lectureships at venues including the Berlin University of the Arts and the Ludwigsburg Academy of Performing Arts. Evy Schubert is the mother of a son and lives in Hamburg and Berlin.
